A walk in a supermarket is all it takes to realize that the supply of organic food on the market is growing. In addition to fruit, vegetables and meat, it also includes baby food, yoghurts, confectionery, bread, fruit juices, spreads, prepared meals, coffee, tea, beer, wine, etc. In Europe, we use different labels for organic food, but they all mean the same thing. The term ‘bio’ is used in Germany, France, Italy and Austria. ‘Eko’ is a label that is officially used in Slovenia for the production, production and processing of certified organic food.
