Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Bekir Pakdemirli provided information about cattle ear taggs that were recently developed. Stating that with the new generation of ear tags, the cattle amount may be increased by 5 percent, Pakdemirli announced: “The ear tags work like a mobile phone. The location of the cattle and the periods of estrus can be monitored. The new ear tags send messages to the veterinarians. The batteries of the ear tags, which are active every 3 days, can last for 3-5 years. ”
